The value of ordinary and advanced level British school-leaving examination results in predicting medical students' academic performance

Abstract

This paper examines the correlation between students' school-leaving examination results and medical school examination results, and discusses the usefulness of O and A level examination results as predictors of a student's ability to pass pre-clinical examinations in anatomy, physiology and biochemistry.
