PIP: Regional differences in demographic trends in Ryazan Oblast, USSR, are analyzed. Variations in the age and sex structure of the population, marriage and divorce rates, and fertility and abortion rates are identified using 1979 census data as well as records of marriages, births, and abortions for the period 1977-1979.
