PIP: An analysis of the population of Lubumbashi, Shaba, Zaire, is presented, with particular reference to recent demographic trends and population structure. The focus of the study is on the Kamolondo district, and the results show that population distribution is related to region of origin of migrants. Some reasons for the inadequacy of vital statistics records are also considered.
