This Hungarian Ordinance sets the amount and means of calculation of child support under the 1986 Law on Marriage, the Family, and Guardianship (Annual Review of Population Law, Vol. 13, 1986, Section 310). It also contains rules on 1) when a court can order that the State advance support to an entitled person because the person obligated to pay the support has failed to produce it and 2) when the State is liable for the support, for example, if the property of the person liable for support has been attached. In addition, the Ordinance provides that a minor who has become emancipated by marriage remains emancipated if the marriage is dissolved before the minor reaches the age of majority.
