Growth Change. 1983 Apr;14(2):42-9. doi: 10.1111/j.1468-2257.1983.tb00404.x.

Abstract

PIP: An examination of the importance of rural-to-rural migration in the United States is presented. Data are from a 1977 telephone survey of migrants and residents in 75 high net in-migration counties in the North Central region. Rural-origin and urban-origin migrants are compared with rural residents and with each other. Characteristics examined include age, education, and income.
