Abstract

Objective: To study the chemical constituents in Aquilegia oxysepala.

Method: Various chromatographic techniques were used to separate and purify the constituents. The structures were determined by spectral analysis and chemical evidence.

Result: Five flavonoids were isolated from the plant and identified as genkwanin, apigenin, luteonlin, swertisin and tilianin.

Conclusion: All these compounds were isolated from the plant for the first time.
