The advanced practice nursing role with multisite responsibilities

Crit Care Nurs Clin North Am. 2002 Sep;14(3):299-305. doi: 10.1016/s0899-5885(02)00012-6.

Abstract

A multisite APN role presents a unique perspective. You may see this in terms of opportunities or as frustrations. Ultimately it is your response, not the situation, that determines the outcome. As with any major transition, it can be a catalyst to transform yourself and reenergize your practice. Careful attention to the elements presented here can give you a good start. From there, adaptability is the key, as Lao-tzu said "a good traveler has no fixed plans and is not intent upon arriving. A good artist lets his intuition lead him wherever it wants. A good scientist has freed himself of concepts and keeps his mind open to what is."
