Abstract

We describe here an unprecedented approach to the synthesis of stereodefined 1,2-bis-substituted enamides. Starting from bis-metallated enamides, a palladium-copper coupling reaction allows the introduction of various groups at C1, whilst iododesilylation affords a new entry for the functionalization at C2.
