Radiotherapy for non-small cell lung cancer

Abstract

This article shortly reviews the role of external-beam radiotherapy in the management of NSCLC with the focus on novel therapeutic approaches. The following applications of radiotherapy are addressed: definitive treatment in localized inoperable disease, radiotherapy as an adjunct to surgery (preoperative and postoperative), and palliative chest irradiation.
