Meeting the information needs of cancer patients

Prof Nurse. 2000 Jan;15(4):244-7.

Abstract

Research evidence suggests that patients with cancer want to receive information about the disease. The provision of information can help patients cope with the effects of cancer. Nurse-led clinics provide an opportunity for the ongoing provision of support and information.
