Treating chemically dependent employees in a non-hospital setting

Pers Adm. 1985 Aug;30(8):45-6, 50-2.

Abstract

Intensive day treatment demonstrates advantages for employer and employee alike. The clinical outcomes are every bit as impressive as those quoted by residential programs, and the financial ramifications are most positive. Finally, a wealth of testimony indicates that employees prefer this form of treatment. Day treatment provides the opportunities to stay in touch with one's job and to avoid painful family separations while receiving treatment.
