Aim: To prepare sterically stabilized liposomes containing all-trans retinoic acid, and to study its physicochemical properties.
Methods: The microstructure, the particle size and its distribution was determined by DSC, 1HNMR and 90 Plus Particle Size Analyzer and a TEM photo was taken.
Results: The size of conventional liposomes and sterically stabilized liposomes were about 0.35 and 0.42 micron. The sterically stabilized structure can be confirmed by TEM photo.
Conclusion: The stericallly stabilized liposomes containing all-trans retinoic acid can be prepared by combination of film-casting and freeze-drying.
