Objective: To study the optimization of hydrolysis process of dioscin catalyzed by hydrochloric acid.
Methods: The effects of hydrochloric acid concentration, reaction temperature, reaction time and their interactions had been investigated using orthogonal design and single-factor experiments.
Results: The optimum hydrolysis conditions were as follows: reaction temperature 90 degrees C, reaction time 3h, hydrochloric acid concentration 2.0 mol/L.
Conclusion: Hydrochloric acid concentration and reaction temperature should be controlled because of their remarkable influence on hydrolysis process.
