Abstract

In today's changing market, any employee can be laid off, anytime, anywhere. Perioperative nurses everywhere are at risk of losing their jobs. Creating or updating a resume, filling out applications, and facing job interviews can be intimidating. Highly qualified candidates may not be selected for a position; however, the best prepared and most determined often are. This article outlines techniques for a well-written resume, good communication skills, and a "dressed for success" appearance that are essential in projecting professional excellence.
