Cancer and UV-radiation

Pharmacol Toxicol. 1993:72 Suppl 1:67-8. doi: 10.1111/j.1600-0773.1993.tb01672.x.

Abstract

Solar radiation is a well documented risk factor in melanoma and non melanocytic skin cancer (i.e. basal cell and squamous cell carcinoma). It has been suspected to play a role also for lip cancer and for eye melanoma. Primary prevention should include advises to the public about sensible sun exposure. Results of such efforts will be apparent only in a long term perspective.
