[Article in Romanian]

Abstract

The paper presents data from the literature regarding the physiology and physiopathology of the corneal oedema and also some clinical and therapeutical aspects about corneal oedema secondary to the cataract operation. The physiology and physiopathology of the corneal oedema is discussed with respect to the enzymatic support, development processes of the corneal oedema, and also the operation stress produced by the cataract surgery. The corneal oedema following the cataract operation is presented with its clinical aspects (early and late) of the paraclinical determination (pachymetric, microspecular) and also of the therapeutical indications (transfixiante keratoplasty).
