On July 23, 2022, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the rapid global spread of Mpox (formerly known as monkeypox) a public health emergency of international concern. A 28-year-old male patient with severe Mpox infection and HIV stage 3 (AIDS) is presented.

Am 23. Juli 2022 erklärte die Weltgesundheitsorganisation (World Health Organization, WHO) die rasche weltweite Ausbreitung von Mpox (frühere Bezeichnung: Affenpocken) zu einer gesundheitlichen Notlage internationaler Tragweite. Vorgestellt wird ein 28 Jahre alter Patient mit ausgeprägtem Befund einer Mpox-Infektion bei HIV-Stadium 3 (AIDS).
