Abstract

Zhang et al.¹ show that the mechanical properties of a three-dimensional (3D) hydrogel can enhance the secretion of niche factors from bone marrow stromal cells, which in turn promotes the maintenance of hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) and reverses aging hallmarks in HSCs.
