Inguinal Sentinel Lymph Node in a Patient With Recurrent Breast Cancer

Clin Nucl Med. 2023 Mar 1;48(3):e143-e144. doi: 10.1097/RLU.0000000000004381. Epub 2022 Sep 6.

Abstract

Sentinel lymph node biopsy is the standard of care for axillary staging in early, clinically node-negative breast cancer. The lymphatic pathways could be altered after receiving axillary treatments such as radiation and/or axillary lymph node dissection. We report a case of inguinal and contralateral axilla SLNs in breast cancer recurrence.
