There are about 3,500 species of mosquitoes but only a handful are involved in disease transmission. Control measures are instituted only on vector mosquitoes. This chapter delves into various methods of control especially in Southeast Asia. One should understand that even with the elimination of malaria, Anopheles vectors would still be around. Currently, some researchers are trying their best to eliminate vector mosquitoes while others are introducing genetically modified mosquitoes into the environment. However, the tiny mosquitoes will be the heroes and will not be wiped out from planet earth.
