Abstract

The purpose of this article is to review the imaging features in patients defined by researchers as having asthma-chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) overlap (ACO), highlight the existing imaging studies investigating patients with ACO when compared with those with asthma and COPD alone, and, finally, discuss some remaining gaps in the understanding of ACO that imaging may help resolve.

Keywords: Airway disease; Asthma-COPD overlap; Computed tomography; Emphysema; Imaging.
