The thematic focus addresses two interwoven megatrends of the 21st century: demographic and technological change. This commentary aims to contextualize and reflect on this update from the perspective of a critical gerontology.

Der Themenschwerpunkt adressiert zwei miteinander verwobene Megatrends des 21. Jh.: den demografischen und den technologischen Wandel. Der vorliegende Kommentar zielt dabei darauf ab, dieses Update aus Perspektive einer kritischen Gerontologie zu kontextualisieren und zu reflektieren.
