Abstract

Intracranial diffuse embryonal tumor in the adult is rare. We report a young woman with a diffuse embryonal malignancy in the saddle area, which was depicted well by 11 C-choline PET/CT, superior to 18 F-FDG PET/CT and contrast-enhanced MRI. Under the guiding of 11 C-choline PET/CT, the biopsy was successfully performed and the diagnosis was established. This case highlights that 11 C-chione PET/CT may be useful to diagnose and delineate the intracranial diffuse embryonic tumors.
