Objective: To compare the therapeutic effect between cotton-moxibustion and compound flumetasone ointment, and observe the effect on quality of life in patients with chronic eczema.
Methods: A total of 66 patients with chronic eczema were randomized into an observation group (33 cases, 2 cases dropped off) and a control group (33 cases, 2 cases dropped off). In the observation group, cotton-moxibustion was adopted on target skin lesion, once a day, 3 cones a time. In the control group, external application of compound flumetasone ointment was given twice a day. The treatment for 3 weeks was required in the both groups. Before treatment and 1,2,3 weeks into treatment, scores of visual analogue scale (VAS), eczema area and severity index (EASI) and dermatology life quality index (DLQI) were observed, and the recurrence rate was evaluated in the follow-up one month after treatment.
Results: Compared before treatment, the VAS scores of 1,2,3 weeks into treatment, the EASI and DLQI scores of 2,3 weeks into treatment were decreased in the both groups (P<0.05), and those in the observation group were lower than the control group (P<0.05). The follow-up recurrence rate in the observation group were lower than the control group (P<0.05).
Conclusion: Cotton-moxibustion can effectively improve the pruritus symptom, skin lesion and quality of life in the patients with chronic eczema, the therapeutic effect is superior to the external application of compound flumetasone ointment.
目的：比较铺棉灸与复方氟米松软膏治疗慢性湿疹的临床疗效及其对患者生活质量的影响。方法：将66例慢性湿疹患者随机分为观察组（33例，脱落2例）和对照组（33例，脱落2例）。观察组于皮损表面采用铺棉灸疗法，每日1次，每次3壮；对照组采用复方氟米松软膏外涂，每日2次，两组均治疗3周。分别于治疗前及治疗1、2、3周时记录两组患者视觉模拟量表（VAS）评分、湿疹面积及严重度指数（EASI）评分和皮肤病生活质量指数（DLQI）评分，并于治疗后1个月随访时评定两组复发率。结果：与治疗前比较，两组患者治疗1、2、3周时VAS评分降低（P<0.05），治疗2、3周时EASI、DLQI评分降低（P<0.05），且观察组以上评分均低于对照组（P<0.05）。观察组随访复发率低于对照组（P<0.05）。结论：铺棉灸可有效改善慢性湿疹瘙痒症状和皮损程度、提高患者生活质量，其疗效优于复方氟米松软膏外涂。.
