Phytobezoar following raisin ingestion in children

Pediatr Emerg Care. 1988 Sep;4(3):192-3. doi: 10.1097/00006565-198809000-00008.

Abstract

A rare childhood phytobezoar is reported in a two-and-one-half-year-old male infant with bowel obstruction, following raisin ingestion. Complete recovery followed conservative treatment. It was preceded by passage of a large, bulky stool, containing numerous undigested, fluid-filled raisins.
