Reducing radiation dose: Yes I can!

Catheter Cardiovasc Interv. 2019 Sep 1;94(3):392-394. doi: 10.1002/ccd.28472.

Abstract

There are multiple ways to reduce radiation dose by: (a) not using radiation unless absolutely needed; (b) utilizing settings that give the lowest possible dose when using radiation; and (c) shielding. Disposable radiation drapes, such as the SEPARPROCATH® can significantly reduce operator radiation dose. Radiation is bad for both patient and operator, therefore do something about it, starting with your next case!
