Have We Entered the Era of Imaging Before Salvage Treatment for Recurrent Prostate Cancer?

Eur Urol. 2019 Sep;76(3):265-267. doi: 10.1016/j.eururo.2019.04.016. Epub 2019 Apr 26.

Abstract

The role of imaging before salvage treatment of recurrent prostate cancer is controversial. Knowledge of site-specific recurrence obtained from novel imaging techniques such as prostate-specific membrane antigen-based positron emission tomography/computed tomography might provide information on the benefit of imaging before salvage therapies.
