1 is a resident in the Department of Internal Medicine, and and are staff hematologist/oncologists, all at the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System in Little Rock. Dr. Xiang and Dr. Kunthur are assistant professors and Dr. Mehta is a professor in the Division of Hematology/Oncology; all in the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock.
An understanding of the disease pathogenesis has led to the discovery of therapuetic agents that target human herpesvirus-8 replication, CD20, and IL-6 and IL-6R antibodies.
