Abstract

May-Thurner syndrome (MTS) is a condition in which the left common iliac vein is compressed by the right common iliac artery, which may cause swelling, pain or deep venous thrombosis of the left lower extremity.¹ Postthrombotic syndrome, nonthrombotic chronic venous insufficiency, and recurrence after venous thrombosis are also possible complications. Although MTS combined with left iliac arteriovenous fistula is rarely reported, we treated 3 such cases in the past year.
