Abstract

Due to the rapid increase of the number in people with dementia, social costs of dementia are also expected to rise. In 2014, the social cost of dementia in Japan was estimated to be 145,140 billion yen, 40 % of which was spent on informal care. To investigate whether each intervention is worth the investment, more research on aspects like cost-effective analysis is expected to be undertaken.
