Abstract

Lung function was investigated with roentgenpneumopolygraphy (RPPG) in 68 patients with infiltrating lung tuberculosis aged 18 to 70, revealing manifold functional disorders of the respiratory system. RPPG allowed to detect latent respiratory insufficiency in patients with normal respiratory parameters in form of regions with reduced ventilation. For defining localization, extent and nature of ventilatory disorder in severely affected patients zonopneumopolygraphy in lateral projection and prone position was used. For infiltrating tuberculosis with significantly ventilatory parameters the respiratory function, i.e. the action of respiratory auxiliary musculature is intensified.
