Abstract

Pharmacovitrectomy refers to a particular approach consisting of the intravitreal injection of drugs that can modify the anatomical and/or biochemical composition of the vitreous and retina. It constitutes a field in permanent expansion, particularly with pharmacologic vitreolysis and vascular endothelial growth factor inhibition.
