Atrial fibrillation associated with neostigmine administration in three cows

Abstract

Three cattle with gastrointestinal disease were given neostigmine as part of the treatment for postsurgical ileus. All 3 cattle developed atrial fibrillation either before or during neostigmine administration, and 2 converted to normal sinus rhythm after cessation of treatment.
