Natural history of peptic ulcer disease in Poland. Part X. Peptic ulcer disease and urinary tract diseases and diabetes

Abstract

In this successive report on the coexistence of peptic ulcer disease with diseases of other systems the coincidence is described of peptic ulcer with urinary system diseases and diabetes. In a population of 5813 patients with peptic ulcer studied using the "Ulcer" informatic programme urinary tract diseases were found in 6.21%, and diabetes in 1.41%. Differences are discussed in the prevalence of peptic ulcer and urinary tract disease or diabetes between males and females, and the age of the patients and frequency of various locations of ulcer in these cases.
