Abstract

Allergic reactions to albumin nanocolloid are rare. Most of them are not potentially serious and in some cases treatment with antihistamines may be needed. We present a case of a patient with grade II right breast ductal carcinoma, in whom a lymphoscintigraphy was performed for sentinel lymph node detection. She had a type I hypersensitivity reaction following the administration of (⁹⁹m)Tc-albumin nanocolloid, which abated spontaneously without subsequent sequels.
