J Refract Surg. 2010 Dec;26(12):994-5. doi: 10.3928/1081597X-20100804-02. Epub 2010 Aug 16.

Abstract

Purpose: To report a case of Fusarium solani keratitis after corneal cross-linking (CXL) treatment.

Methods: A 23-year-old woman presented with corneal ulcer 4 weeks following a CXL procedure.

Results: Microbiological studies revealed Fusarium species as the etiological pathogen.

Conclusions: Fusarium species may cause infectious crystalline keratopathy after corneal CXL treatment.
