Diabetes is a chronic, leading to many complications which can be assessed and actively encourage a feeling of subjective quality of life. The paper is a review of standardized tools to assess subjective quality of life contingent upon the state of health, quality of life scale specific for diabetes and scales for assessing the psychological functioning of patients with diabetes. Based on a systematic, multidimensional assessment of quality of life for people with diabetes can obtain valuable information about the deficits in those areas of the patient, in which changes are needed.
