[Supracricoid hemilaryngectomy]

Abstract

The supracricoid laryngectomy is a surgical procedure clearly identifiable, deserving this denomination either in descriptive and differential sense. In the paper the AA. itemize the characteristics of the operation (concept, history, synonymy, the basic points of the technique) and the anatomopathologic fundamentals, even the results published in the literature. Display of own criteria and report of 41 cases operated on and followed up during 5 years (80 percent survivals without recurrence of the growth).
