Silica-based clicked hybrid glyco materials

Chem Soc Rev. 2009 Dec;38(12):3449-62. doi: 10.1039/b909363j. Epub 2009 Aug 4.

Abstract

The impact of the copper-mediated alkyne-azide cycloadditions on the covalent click immobilization of carbohydrates onto the surface of silica-based materials for the construction of a variety of sophisticated glyco structures and devices are covered in this critical review. The advanced applications of these new bioconjugated hybrid materials are also described (105 references).
