Abstract

Following the increase of elder people, the proportion of NSAID ulcer has started to rise. NSAID ulcer has characteristic clinical features compared with H. pylori ulcer, such as no abdominal pain and sudden bleeding. And it is reported that the mortality rate of NSAID ulcer is higher than that of non-NSAID ulcer. So clinicians have to find NSAID ulcer as soon as possible. And when we see a patient suffering from anemia, we should examine the presence of NSAID ulcer with an endoscope. In evaluating patients taking NSAID, it is important for clinicians to note the characteristic features of NSAID ulcer.
