Abstract

Objective: To investigate the effect of polysaccharides from Bletilla striata (BSP) on the adhesion of human umbilical venous endothelial cells (HUVECs).

Methods: HUVEC were cultured in DMEM and treated with different concentrations of BSP. The effects of BSP on the proliferation of HUVEC were observed with MTT method.

Results: Among control and 60 - 120 microg/ml BSP groups, it showed significant difference specially in 80 microg/ml group.

Conclusion: BSP promotes the adhesion of HUVEC but not with a does -dependent manner in vitro.
