Abstract

The authors refer hypothyroidism epidemiology and physiology, enhancing the need to raise thyroid hormones and also to adjust the doses of levothyrosine, normally used in the treatment. They describe the obstetric complications that can occur in non medicated hypothyroidism pregnancies, as well to the new-born baby.
