Objective: To develop a method to determine the content of puerarin in Xinmaitong oral liquid.
Methods: HPLC method was used. The separation was performed on Suntek kromasil C18 column with methanol-water containing 0.5% acetic acid (25:75) as a mobile phase and the wavelength of UV detector was 250 nm.
Results: The linearity of puerarin was good and average recovery was 97.8%.
Conclusion: The method is simple, reliable and sensitive. It also shows good resolation. It can be used in quality control of Xinmaitong oral liquid.
