Carbohydr Res. 2001 Apr 12;331(3):343-6. doi: 10.1016/s0008-6215(01)00037-4.

Abstract

Preparation of N-(2,3,4,6-tetra-O-acetyl-beta-D-glucopyranosyl)trimethylammonium bromide as the unique N-glycosylated quaternary salt derived from trialkylamine is described. The structure of the compound was elucidated by 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy and by single-crystal X-ray analysis as well.
